We are Hiring: Narrative Intelligence & Evidence Design Lead
Remote | USA-based | Part-Time | Contract-to-Hire Potential | Pacific Time
Deadline to apply: Oct 17, 2025

Summary
Weekly Hours: ~20
Role Type: Contract
You are the strategist who knows how to transform impact into insight — and insight into latitude.
You don’t just capture what happened. You craft artifacts of transformation that move ideal-fit partners from resonance to readiness.
You bring executive discernment, editorial precision, and storytelling vision to this work.
You know how to tell compelling stories with qualitative and quantitative data, and you can do it without direct reports.
You know what makes something land with a funder, a CEO, or a public audience.
And you can hold complexity in your hands without flattening it.
Primary Responsibilities:
Translate our proprietary methods, impact data, and strategic thought leadership into premium-caliber, revenue-generating assets. Elevate our org’s market presence and move ideal-fit clients from resonance to readiness.
What You'll Do
In the short and mid-term:
Offer Resonance + Strategic Positioning
- Shape, test, and refine offers to meet the moment — politically, economically, and culturally.
- Co-create a library of executive-facing Insight Briefs (1–2/month) that spark clarity and urgency
- Synthesize pre/post data stories into visual narrative one-pagers. In addition to just pre/post snapshots, they build multi-cohort, multi-year impact visualizations — showing cultural pattern shifts or leadership altitudes across time. This becomes an anchor for future funders, scaling partners, or researchers.
- Read the political and economic climate, shape messaging with precision, and help the CEO test demand for emergent offers
- Design and run lightweight offer testing cycles for leadership labs, harm reduction models, and trauma-conscious coaching
- Develop a living Strategy & Outcomes Deck that weaves data, story, and framework
- Build sector-specific positioning assets (e.g., “Why This Works for ___”
Evidence Architecture + Story-Based Assets
- Design quarterly Impact Dashboards from client work for use in proposals and debriefs
- Synthesize pre/post data stories into visual narrative one-pagers for licensing and pitch decks
- Build 3–5 McKinsey-grade case studies or client transformation reports
- Create multi-cohort, multi-year impact visualizations showing pattern shifts, cultural change, and leadership elevation
- Package testimonials, impact quotes, and client feedback into modular storytelling tools
In the long term: Support Licensing + Long-Term Codification
- Support the codification of our framework into a recognizable, adopted system (e.g., like DiSC or StrengthsFinder)
- Codify our IP for licensing and scale — including narrative, visual architecture, and modular tools
- Write and package 5 licensing primers for program officers and executives
- Drives narrative fidelity, framework systematization, and long-term asset ecosystem design for licensing, training, and institutional partnerships
- Build and refine plug-and-play components for licensing decks, funder briefings, and toolkits
- Audit public-facing materials for alignment with evolving offers and political risk strategy
Who This Role is For
- This role is not for early-career growth marketers, virtual assistants, or generalist freelancers, it is for someone who’s operated at a Director or Assistant Director level inside a values-driven company or consultancy — someone who knows how to navigate a hybrid role, part data visualizationist, part research & evaluation, part impact communications strategist, part IP codification & scaling.
- You’ve built or expanded $1M+ pipelines. You’re energized by turning messy, meaningful data into crystalline insight. You’ve built case studies, outcomes decks, or grant reports that moved real money — not just made a case.
- You’ve been the person behind the scenes who helps a CEO, strategist, or firm name what’s working — and package it so others can see the truth, feel the change, and say yes.
- You’ve crafted decks, briefs, or reports that moved $100K+ decisions — not with hype, but with quiet precision, data-backed story, and strategic elegance.
You think in patterns, systems, and synthesis. When everyone else sees raw feedback, messy dashboards, and scattered notes, you see signal and narrative. - You care about nuance, narrative power, and protecting the soul of a body of work while helping it scale.
You know how to design for discretion. You’ve worked with political, social, or identity-charged material — and know how to hold the line between resonance and risk. - You can shape insight in formats that executives, funders, or change agents actually use — not just admire.
- You understand that storytelling isn’t a branding tool — it’s a cultural architecture strategy.
If This Sounds Like You, It Might NOT Be a Match
- You’ve only worked in marketing or brand copywriting roles and haven’t held the pressure of strategic deliverables that shape decisions at the executive or institutional level.
- You need someone else to define what matters in the data — rather than identifying what’s emerging from the work and articulating it with clarity.
- You’re looking for a role to build your portfolio rather than one that requires you to already have a body of work at this level of thought leadership, synthesis, and strategic storytelling.
- You’ve never had to translate racial equity, trauma-informed, or leadership transformation work into tools that non-equity fluent audiences can still act on with integrity.
- You lean on polish and design to compensate for lack of substance.
- You want to be told what to do each week. This role requires discernment, pattern recognition, and proactive shaping — not just output.

After you click Apply:
You’ll be guided through a brief intake form designed to help us understand how you think, what you’ve built, and how you move through complexity.
You’ll be asked to share three work samples, each reflecting a different skillset:
-
Transformation Narrative — a case study, report, or memo that shows how you made sense of a complex moment. We're looking for how you named the shift, what changed, and what meaning was made.
-
Executive-Facing Strategy Asset — a deck, brief, or synthesis document that connected insights to a decision point, like a funding ask or internal shift. This helps us see how you translate outcomes into direction.
-
Insight Visualization — a dashboard, one-pager, or other artifact that helped make insight visible and usable. The focus here is on how you worked with data and format to support clarity, especially where stakes were high.
We’re asking for a few supporting materials because we want to understand your actual fluency in moving aligned opportunities toward meaningful outcomes, not just your philosophy or potential.
This is an invitation for you to show us your medicine in motion. You’re not being asked to create anything new or hand over anything confidential. Feel free to redact. We’ve made the request spacious enough for those who’ve actually done this work, and light enough not to replicate extraction or expectation.
If the ask feels too heavy, that’s information. If it feels resonant, but vulnerable, we welcome your discernment and boundary-setting.
